Loza was speaking during a ceremony co-organized by the Arab League (AL), the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, and the African Union (AU) to mark the 60th anniversary of the first African summit.

Egypt has always supported African liberalization movements against colonization, the diplomat told the gathering.

He spoke of Egypt’s role in Africa, noting that it has developed even more since President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi assumed office in 2014.

Loza also said Egypt will organize the fourth Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development on July 2-3.

He added that Egypt cooperates with the AU and the African Peace and Security Council (PSC) to support countries facing challenges, citing efforts exerted with partners to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people and promote African representation at international gatherings.

Furthermore, Loza highlighted that Egypt seeks to strengthen the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) -- the world's largest free-trade area.
