During talks with AOI Chairman Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, the Congolese president discussed potential cooperation in defence industries, development projects, and manufacturing.
The two sides explored ways to utilize AOI's industrial capabilities to support the DRC's development priorities and security requirements.
The visit is part of Tshisekedi's official trip to Cairo, which began on Wednesday.
It focused on strengthening ties between Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo, emphasizing cooperation in trade, economy, development, and regional cooperation.
The discussions also addressed prospects for increasing industrial integration between Egypt and the DRC, reflecting Cairo's broader efforts to expand economic engagement with African countries and boost industrial exports across the continent.
Abdel Latif stressed Egypt's interest in participating in development projects in the DRC, describing the Central African nation as an important Nile Basin partner and highlighting the longstanding ties between the two countries.
During a tour of the AOI's exhibition facilities, Tshisekedi reviewed a range of military and civilian products, including armoured vehicles, troop carriers, defence systems, firefighting vehicles, cash-in-transit vehicles, mobile technology units, and medical manufacturing products.
The Congolese president praised the advanced manufacturing technologies developed by the AOI and expressed his country's interest in expanding cooperation with Egypt in industry and development.
He said the DRC was also keen to collaborate with Egypt on localizing advanced manufacturing technologies.
Furthermore, Tshisekedi commended Egypt's role in supporting African development and regional economic integration, particularly efforts to increase intra-African trade and investment and advance joint development initiatives across the continent.
The AOI has stepped up cooperation with several African countries in recent years through industrial partnerships, technology transfer programmes, and exports of both civilian and defence-related products.
