The two chiefs of staff also co-chaired the closing session of the fifth Egyptian-Turkish Military Cooperation Committee and signed the committee's final protocol, which includes a number of activities aimed at supporting military cooperation and promoting the transfer and exchange of expertise between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces.
Khalifa reaffirmed the depth of the partnership and bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of Egypt and Türkiye, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts and expanding military cooperation in a way that serves the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
For his part, Bayraktaroğlu expressed appreciation for the longstanding ties between Egypt and Türkiye, reaffirming his country's commitment to further strengthening military relations and enhancing practical cooperation between the armed forces of both nations in the coming period.
The meeting and the committee's closing session were attended by a number of senior military commanders from both countries.
