The sources told Al-Qahera news that Egypt has stepped up contacts with all parties involved to secure commitments to the agreement and ensure its implementation.
Hamas and other Palestinian factions responding positively to Egyptian and mediator efforts, according to Egyptian media reports on Saturday.
The anticipated meeting is expected to focus on implementation mechanisms and guarantees for all parties' adherence to the ceasefire terms.
The sources added that the successful implementation of the agreement would pave the way for the resumption of educational activities in Gaza and the reopening of public facilities and services.
They also said it would facilitate the rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure, launch early recovery programmes, and prepare the ground for the reconstruction of the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.
US President Donald Trump announced an agreement on a roadmap for the phased disarmament of Hamas and other armed resistance groups in Gaza, alongside the gradual withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the strip.
Hamas has said its agreement to disarm is conditional on Israel halting its attacks, withdrawing from Gaza and allowing the entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and international forces, among other conditions.
For its part, Israel has not agreed to President Trump's new Gaza roadmap yet. Meanwhile, intense Israeli airstrikes on various parts of Gaza have killed at least seven people in the last 24 hours.
The agreement to implement the second phase provides for the entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) into Gaza to begin carrying out its duties, alongside the deployment of international forces, in preparation for early recovery efforts and reconstruction projects.
The NCAG, which was established to oversee day-to-day governance during Gaza's post-war transitional period, has been unable to enter the enclave because of Israeli obstructionism and has instead been operating from Egypt.
The July 2026 roadmap is designed to implement the second phase of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement between Tel Aviv and Hamas, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the US, which had remained largely frozen for nine months due to Israeli obstructionism and deadly breaches of the truce deal
The original ceasefire's first phase included exchanges of Israeli and Palestinian prisoners, expanded humanitarian access, and commitments aimed at reducing hostilities.
However, implementation of the second phase stalled as the Israeli side refused to start phase II, and subjected the strip to daily bombing and occupied more than 60 percent of its area.
Between October 2025 and late January 2026, Israel continued its genocidal war, violating the ceasefire hundreds of times, with estimates ranging from 730 to over 1,450 recorded violations by early 2026 through air attacks, artillery raids, shootings, and demolition operations inside Gaza.
Since the start of the ceasefire 10 months ago, daily Israeli bombing of the strip has killed nearly 1,300 Palestinians and injured hundreds more. Moreover, Israel has continued to impose restrictions on the entry of life-saving food and medicine at adequate levels to a population that faced the first-ever famine in Middle East history at the height of the genocidal war.
