The decision was made during a legislative session chaired by House Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi and attended by the cabinet.

Al-Safadi called on the government to take effective measures against Smotrich's statement and behavior, which allegedly included the use of a map of the borders of Jordan and the occupied Palestinian territories.

MPs rejected the actions of the Israeli minister, affirming their support for King Abdullah II and the armed forces in defending the homeland and its sovereignty.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfik Krishan affirmed that Jordanians are united in their rejection of such behavior and that Jordan resists all conspiracies under its Hashemite leadership.
