Bourse posts collective gains at close of Monday's trading sessions

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes went up at the close of trading on Monday, backed by purchases by institutions, local investment funds and foreign and Egyptian investors.

The capital market gained nearly EGP 7 billion to end trading at EGP 2.236 trillion amid transactions that reached nearly EGP 38.5 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index increased 0.09 percent to reach 30,525.32 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid-cap enterprises (SME) climbed 0.27 percent to register 8,416.83 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 0.19 percent to close at 11,558.98 points.
