The festival, which is being held under the auspices of Minister of Culture Nevine El-Kilani, is the brainchild of director Intesar Abdel-Fattah,
It aims to show how music uplifts the soul and how is the true language of humanity.
This year’s edition brings about 30 troupes from all over the world who have come to sing for world peace. Among the represented countries are India, Algeria, Romania, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan, South Sudan, Indonesia, Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine, Syria and Egypt. Also participating in the festival for the first time is a troupe from Canada.
The venues that are hosting the festival are as follows: The North Wall Theatre in Historic Cairo, Prince Taz Palace, the Religion complex, Beit Al Sinnary, El Ghory Dome.
All performances start at 8pm.
