Gypsum Gallery will host another edition of Paper Trail group exhibition, set to open on 26 September.
The exhibition is curated in collaboration with Saida Al Harakany, founder of Adsum Art Consultancy, and will present an eclectic collection of works on paper by nine different artists based in Cairo.
The works on display will include watercolors, drawings, mono prints, and collages by Taha Belal, Rawand Issa, Nada El Kalaawy, Naila Marei, Dina Said, Nehad Said, Noura Seif, Aly Sirry and Mostafa Youssef.
Despite the variety in artistic approaches, the works touch upon similar concepts, and are a more focused collection than the first edition, which was held in May 2017 and featured 11 artists.
"From obsessive mapping exercises to elusive storytelling, the artists are giving access to an intimate and delicate medium that they resort to in all mental states of production, premeditated or spontaneous," the exhibition statement read.
The exhibition opens on 26 September at 7pm and will run until 15 November
Gypsum Gallery, 5 Ibrahim Naguib St., Garden City, Cairo
