The Floating Theatre

Small Theatre 

Saheb Maqam (a holy man) play is produced by Al-Ghad Theatre Company, in cooperation with the Youth Theatre Company

The show offers narration, religious chanting telling six stories about five of Egypt’s famous holy figures: Abul Hassan Alshazly, Alsayyed Albadawi, Ismail Alanbaby, Almorsy Abul Abbass and Alsayyeda Nafesa as well as Saint Mary Guirguis. They are all linked through the narration of the munshid (religious chanter). It features actors Ahmed Magdy, Mahmoud Alzayat, Heba Qenawy, Adel Raafat, religious chanting by munshid Samir Azmy, décor and costumes designed by Mohamed Hashim, written by Masaoud Shouman, and directed by Adel Hassan

(Performances run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting 27 until 10 May, 10pm).

The Outer Space

Al-Leila Al-Kebira puppets operetta, written by the late Salah Jahin, composed by the late Sayyed Mekawi with puppets created by late puppeteer Nagui Shaker and directed by the late Salah Al-Saqqa

(Performances run daily starting 19 April except 22 and 28 April until 2 May, 8.30pm).

  

The International Park

Madinet Nasr District

The Qarameet Fields and The King of Winter plays are performed by Al-Shams Theatre Company for talents with special abilities and starring Amr Adel, Madonna, Seif, Shaimaa Abu-Bakr. It’s written by Mohamed Nassef and directed by Youssef Abu-Zeid.

In addition to singing concerts and “Al-Aragouz wa Khayal Al-Zel” (The Shadow Puppet) performances  

(Performances run on Sundays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9pm).

 

Al-Qawmi (The National) Theatre

Misr Ard Alanbiaa (Egypt, the land of prophets), a theatrical evening about how God doomed Egypt to be the land of prophets starting from Prophet Ibrahim passing by Prophets Youssef, Yacoub, Moussa, Eissa and the holy family until the arrival of the family members of Prophet Mohamed (P.B.U.H) to Egypt. The evening casts actors Helmy Fouda, Bahaa Tharwat, Leqaa Swedan, Heba Tawfiq, with décor and costumes designed by Nasser Abdel-Hafez, religious chanting performed by Faradees troupe for religious chanting, written by poet Mahmoud Hassan and directed by Mohamed Alkholy

(Performances run daily, 10pm).
