Burkinabe midfielder Moussa Yedan seems on his way out of Ahly after being dropped from a 23-man squad that will play in the African Champions League due to kick off next month.
The 25-year old midfielder – who joined Ahly in January 2014 – has failed to make his mark at the Egyptian giants and since the arrival of Juan Carlos Garrido last summer he has made a handful of appearances.
Ahly's football supervisor Alaa Sadek revealed earlier in December that the club is set to offload a foreign player in order to make way for two new comers from Africa as the Egyptian FA regulations allows only 3 foreign players in senior squads.
Ethiopia striker Saladin Said has started to settle at the Red Devils and made his breakthrough in Garrido's starting eleven over the past few games leaving Yedan close to the exit door.
Ahly has omitted a total of seven players from their current squad, raising speculation surrounding the future of Ahmed Khairi, Sherif Abdel-Fadil, Mohamed Farouk, Islam Roshdi and Loai Wael at the club.
While rising striker Amr Gamal hasn't been selected because he will be out for at least three months with a knee injury.
New shock signing Moemen Zakareya, who joined from arch-rivals Zamalek, have been included in the 23-man squad.
Ahly can still add two more players before 15 January.

Forwards: Emad Meteb, Ahmed Abdel-Zaher, Saladin Said, Mohamed Nagy "Gedo".
