After scoring 21 Premier League goals so far this season as well as leading the scorers list, Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah revealed that he is proud of playing for the Reds.

28-year-old winger, Mo Salah helped Liverpool beat Manchester United 4-2 and became the Premier League joint top scorer alongside Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

"I am proud of being here as I play for the team that I love, score more goals and achieve trophies so I am happy with that," Salah told a television programme after yesterday’s game.

"I did my best to reach my goals with the team so I am happy. Manchester United's game was tough as they handed their key players a rest in the previous game to be ready to suspend us from qualifying for the UEFA Champions League," Salah said.

"But this decision motivated us to do our best during the game and achieve the victory," the Egyptian star added.

Liverpool now needs victories against West Brom, Burnley and Crystal Palace over the next 10 days to guarantee their place at the Champions League for a fifth consecutive season.

"The most important thing for Liverpool is to achieve victory in the upcoming games," said Salah.

Liverpool are fifth in the English Premier League teams' table with 60 points, 20 points behind leaders Manchester City and only four points behind fourth place Chelsea.
