The Egyptian Super Cup game between Ahly and Zamalek will be played in Abu Dhabi at 19:00, Cairo local time (GMT+2).
The 39-year-old Fabio Jose will be meeting fellow countryman and Zamalek coach Jesualdo Ferreira again, as he officiated three games for the veteran coach in the Portuguese League before joining the Egyptian League.
The two teams will start the game with high motivations as Zamalek is eyeing the Egypt Super Cup trophy against Ahly to achieve last season's triple titles.
“We will try to do our best to win the trophy and achieve the triple. We hope not to have any injuries before the game,” Zamalek's football supervisor Amir Mortada Mansour told a sports TV programme.
“Zamalek fans are the team’s only sponsor and I thank them for their attendance and their support for the team,” he added.
The Whites secured the double last season by winning the Egyptian Premier League title and Egypt Cup trophy. They want to win the Super Cup game to achieve the triple.
Meanwhile, Ahly is expected to fight for the title to avoid losing everything.
The Reds will count on their experienced players during the game.
"We have many experienced players who played a big number of such high-profile clashes," Komsan said on Ahly's official website.
"These players will have a vital role to play during the Super Cup."
Ahly are the record Egyptian Super Cup winners with 11 titles, followed by Zamalek with four.
