Zamalek, four-time winners of the title, enter the match following a thrilling penalty shootout victory over rivals Ahly in the CAF Super Cup three weeks ago.
The White Knights, making their 12th Super Cup appearance after missing last year's edition, earned a spot in the tournament after receiving a Golden Card from the Egyptian Football Association.
Zamalek, buoyed by their recent success against Ahly, seek to reaffirm their dominance.
"We aim for the title after clinching the African Super Cup title. The pressure is now bigger because the expectations are higher. We are just focused on tomorrow's game in order to access to the final and win the title," Zamalek captain Omar Gaber told the pre-game news conference.
On the other side, Pyramids FC have a big appetite after winning Egypt Cup last month, their first trophy in the club's history.
"Egypt Cup title is the start for our foundation. We want to participate and win many titles over many years. I don't like to put pressure on my players but we are here to win the title and forge our identity. Games against Ahly and Zamalek are special and we must show our charachter," coach Krunoslav Jurcic said.
The victor of this matchup will face the winner of the other semifinal between Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra in the final on Thursday.
Historically, Zamalek holds the advantage over Pyramids FC, with 10 wins in their previous 20 encounters across all competitions.
Pyramids have clinched two victories, with eight matches ending in draws, including their latest Egyptian Premier League meeting in July 2024, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
