Dozens of civilians today were killed and others injured as the Israeli warplanes and tanks bombed various areas of the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
Local sources reported that the Israeli artillery bombed the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.
Meanwhile, medics from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society retrieved six slain individuals following an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of citizens in the vicinity of the community college in the neighbourhood.
Paramedics also retrieved the bodies of six others and 10 wounded individuals in an Israeli raid on a residential apartment belonging to the Ayyad family in Muraie Abu Al-Amin in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, north of Gaza City.
Local sources said that rescue teams and paramedics retrieved the bodies of four people, the citizen Yassin Al-Shuraihi, his wife and children, and a number of those wounded as a result of the occupation targeting a house belonging to the Al-Shuraihi family in the new camp in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli warplanes bombed an inhabited house belonging to the Abu Sidra family in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the vicinity of Murad Al-Talaa Mosque in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the injury of several people.
In the meantime, fighter jets also targeted a house belonging to the Abu Jasser family near Jabalia refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of four people and the injury of others.
Three people were killed and others were injured when the occupation warplanes bombed the home of the Al-Batran family in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Israeli warplanes also targeted an inhabited house in the vicinity of the Martyrs’ Roundabout in the camp.
Moving to the south, Israeli tanks bombarded residential neighbourhoods west of the city of Rafah, coinciding with occupation artillery shelling of the eastern areas of the city of Khan Younis.
Ambulance crews transferred the body of a civilian to Nasser Hospital after being targeted by an occupation drone while he was riding a bicycle on Street 5, north of the city of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has so far resulted in the killing of over 38,848 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children.
The Israeli onslaught has also left more than 89,459 injured, according to preliminary figures, with thousands still trapped under rubble.
