The group, which includes handball, shooting, boxing, diving, sailing, rowing, and archery national teams, arrived in the French capital ahead of the opening ceremony scheduled for 26 July. The Olympics will run until 11 August.

An advance delegation composed of officials and administrators accompanied the first wave of athletes.

The Egyptian Olympic football team has already arrived in France earlier for training and friendly matches.

Egypt's Olympic journey will begin next Wednesday when they face off against the Dominican Republic. They are placed in Group C, which also includes Spain and Uzbekistan.

The team is coming off successful warm-up matches, drawing 1-1 with Ukraine and securing a 2-1 victory against Iraq. The upcoming competition promises to be a test of their preparation and skills.
