Preview: Wrestlers Rabie and Abdellatif get another chance, Ihab Abdel-Rahman begins Javelin Throw mission

Egypt is set for a packed day in Wrestling and Athletics on Tuesday.

Following their defeats on Monday, Greco-Roman wrestlers Abdellatif Mohamed Ahmed (130 kg) and Moemen Rabie (60 kg) will have a second chance on Tuesday as they compete in the repechage in their respective categories.

Rabie is scheduled to face Raiber Rodríguez of Venezuela, while Abdellatif Mohamed will take on Kiril Milov of Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, wrestler Nada Ashour will kick off her campaign in Paris by facing the 2023 World Championship bronze medalist Ziqi Feng of China in the (50 kg) Freestyle Women Round of 16.

Additionally, Mahmoud Abdel-Rahman will embark on his mission in the 77 kg Greco-Roman Men Round of 16, alongside Mohamed Gabr in the same round but in the 97 kg category, facing Aram Vardanyan of Uzbekistan and Serbian wrestler Kajaia Mihail, respectively.

In Athletics, 2015 World Championship silver medalist Ihab Abdel-Rahman and Moustafa AbdelKhaleq will participate in the qualifying round of Javelin throw, although their chances of advancing to the finals appear slim.

Esraa Samir will compete in the women's long jump qualifying round.

In diving, Mohamed Farouk will commence his journey in the Preliminary round of the Men's 3m springboard event.

To wrap up the day, the Egypt artistic swimming team will perform in the teams' free routine Preliminary round.
