Preview: Malak Ismail boosts Egypt's Olympic prospects on final day of Paris 2024 events

Egyptian athletes will be looking to increase their medals tally on the final day of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Sunday.

The lineup features athlete Malak Ismail, weightlifter Halima Abbas, and cyclist Ebtissam Zayed.

Athlete Malak Ismail will kick off Sunday's events with the women's riding show jumping final in the Modern Pentathlon before transitioning to the fencing final.

Later in the day, she will vie for victory in the women's 200m swimming event and conclude her day with the women's Laser Run final.

Cyclist Ebtissam Zayed is slated to compete in the four races of the Omnium Women Scratch race on the same day.

Meanwhile, weightlifter Halima Abbas will compete in the +81kg Women's Final.

Egypt has secured just one medal thus far in Paris 2024, courtesy of fencer Mohamed El-Sayed's bronze triumph in the men's épée individual event.
