Drums from Japan will fill the Cairo Opera House Small Hall on two consecutive evenings, 7 and 8 September

Japanese beats and rhythms will be brought to Egyptian audiences with the Koizumi group that will perform at the Cairo Opera House Small Hall.

The performers include Kenichi Koizumi on drums, Naomi Koizumi on shinobue (Japanese transverse flute) and Keiko who will dance and perform on drums.

At the end of August a workshop introducing participants to Japanese rhythms was held at El-Sawy Culturewheel. The concert is a culmination of the group's presence in Cairo.

The performances are part of an initiative by the Japanese Foundation in Cairo.
