Kaka returns to Brazil national team

Brazil coach Dunga on Friday drafted Kaka into his squad for upcoming friendlies with Argentina and Japan after Cruzeiro forward Ricardo Goulart pulled out through injury.

Kaka, the 2007 world player of the year, returns 18 months after his last cap, having missed out on the World Cup under Dunga's predecessor Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The playmaker has not featured for the Selecao since March 2013, when Scolari included him in his squad for friendlies against Russia and Italy.

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid star Kaka, 32, is currently on loan with Sao Paulo and will next year play for Major League Soccer side Orlando.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) also revealed Dunga has called up Inter Milan defender Juan after Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos suffered a thigh strain in his club's Champions League win over Barcelona on Tuesday.

Brazil fly out to Asia on Saturday for a two-match tour which sees the five-time world champions take on World Cup finalists Argentina in Beijing on October 11 and Japan in Singapore three days later.
