The Pharaohs have two crucial games against Botswana in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers set for 10 and 15 October

Egypt have resumed their preparations ahead of the crucial Botswana games in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers set for 10 and 15 October.

The players were given a couple of days to celebrate Eid El-Adha before joining the camp on Sunday.

However, the squad will be at full strength on Monday with the foreign-based players joining after participating with their teams during the weekend fixtures.

Chelsea's Mohamed Salah was the last to land in Cairo as the Blues played Arsenal on Sunday.

The 22-year-old winger was left warming the bench as his team won 2-0 to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Coach Shawky Gharib has only included six foreign-based players for this game: Ahmed Elmohamady (Hull City, England), Ahmed Fathi (Umm Salal, Qatar), Ahmed Hamoudy, Mohamed Elneny (FC Basel, Switzerland), Saleh Gomaa (Nacional, Portugal) and Mohamed Salah (Chelsea, England).

It is a do-or-die mission for Egypt against Botswana as the Pharaohs have dropped to the bottom of Group G after two consecutive defeats in their opening games against Senegal and Tunisia.

The seven-time African champions must win their next two encounters against Botswana to revive their hopes in reaching the Nations Cup 2015 after missing the previous two editions.
