Algeria and Wolfsburg midfielder Karim Ziani sealed a permanent move to Turkish outfit Kayserispor starting this summer

Kayserispor revealed Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg over the signing of gifted Algerian playmaker Karim Ziani.

“After several weeks of negotiations, we finally agreed terms over landing Ziani permanently here,” the club said in an official statement.

According to the local press, the deal is believed to be around 2.5 million Euros and Ziani would ink a three-year contract.

The 28-year-old player joined Wolfsburg in summer 2009 but failed to reproduce his brilliant performance with Marseilles and struggled to play only 15 league games in 18 months.

He was loaned out to Kayserispor last January and managed immediately to make a good impact, leading club directors to offer him a permanent move.

“Karim is a player with huge skills; he has always shined with all the teams he played for. He is a classy playmaker that knows how to lead a team to achieve victory. We are happy to have him with us and we aim to keep him as long as possible,” Kayserispor Georgian tactician Shota Arveladze told the local press.
