On 5 June an exhibition of mixed-media on paper entitled Qarm Qart by artist Carmine Cartolano, will open at the Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Artto explore different ‘What If’ scenarios.

“What if we didn't take down the 'rayyes' (president's) pictures from the streets? What if ‘the animal farm’ mixes up with glitter or what if photography embraces palettes and reality moves into another galaxy where flowers are trees and freedom is air? What if colours are deep and hide an inner image of yourself that becomes the hero of your own life?” asks the press release.

The exhibition will be on-going until 7 July and will be open daily from 11 am until 8 pm (except Fridays) at theMashrabia Gallery, 8 Champollion Street in Downtown Cairo.
