Ahly have accepted to loan their winger Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan to Belgian side Anderlecht, the Cairo giants announced on Thursday.

"Trezeguet will join Anderlecht on a one-year loan deal," Ahly's president Mahmoud Taher told reporters on Thursday.

"The Belgian side will have the option to make the loan-deal permanent," Taher said.

The 22-year-old will undergo medical tests at Anderlecht during the coming few days before signing his contract with the club.

Anderlecht's manager Herman Van Holsbeeck heaped praise on the player, and confirmed that the club will offer him time to adapt with the European style.

"Trezeguet is a talented player," Van Holsbeeck told Anderlecht's official website on Thursday.

"He is an international player, we will give him the time and we will help him to cope with his new club."

Trezeguet is one of the hottest prospects in Egyptian football, being one of the stars for Egypt's U-23 team and he was called up several times by Pharaohs' former coach Shawki Gharib.
