Egyptian Novelist Ibtihal Salem dies at 66

Well-known writer and translator Ibtihal Salem died early Saturday at the age of 66.

Salem graduated of the department of psychology in the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University in 1974.

The famous novelist was also a prominent translator from French into Arabic.

The Sky Does Not Rain Lovers, A Little Box in the Heart, and Blue Windows were among her many novels.

Correction: Ibtihal Younes, and not the late Ibtihal Salem, was the spouse of late Islamic scholar Nasr Hamed Abu-Zeid.
