Journalists banned from attending trials of police accused of killing protesters
Families of victims, along with journalists will be barred from entering court during trials against policemen
On Tuesday, police banned journalists from attending the trials of the head of police security and 11 other officers accused of killing protesters in Beni Soueif during Egypt’s 18-day revolt. The police have also banned family members of killed protestors from attending.
Family members of the revolution's victims have staged a demonstration in front of Minya court where the trials are taking place.
The court is surrounded by strong police and military security.
