Egyptian navy to conduct joint military training in UAE

Egyptian naval forces arrived in the United Arab Emirates Monday for joint military training with Emirati units, Egypt’s army spokesperson, Brigadier Mohamed Samir, said in a Facebook statement.

The "Khaliga 2" training exercise's activities aim at “unifying combat concept, exchange training expertise” and “training on joint combat management using the latest navy tactics,” according to the statement.

The exercises come in the context of a strategy of exercises between Egypt and the UAE.

“Khalifa 2 exercises are one of the strongest and biggest joint exercises in the Gulf region,“ the statement read.

On Saturday, the Egyptian air force began a joint military training exercise in Kuwait with Kuwaiti counterparts.
