Milito wary of Mazembe threat

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito revealed that his teammates must be on their toes when they’ll take on African champions TP Mazembe in the final next Saturday if they want to lift the FIFA club World cup trophy

“We must wary of Mazembe. If they are in the final it means that they are dangerous and we must respect them,” the Argentinean player said after Inter’s 3-0 win over Seongnam in the semis on Wednesday.

“Finals are never easy, we must hit our top form because football is about eleven players against eleven and nothing else,” he added.

Milito scored the Nerazzurri’s third goal on his return from a five-week absence due to injury.

The Italian and European champions hope to win this title in order to banish their poor start of the season under the helms of new coach Rafael Benitez.

“We are very motivated and enthusiastic to play this final. We want to win the cup and make a good closure for this year,” the 31-year old international striker concluded.

Inter have been struggling in the league as they are trailing at the seventh place of the Serie A table with 23 points 13 behind leaders AC Milan.
