Saudi Arabia deports slacker Egyptian pilgrims

578 Egyptians who remained in the Kingdom illegally due back today


Saudi Arabia is today deporting 578 Egyptians who remained in the Kingdom after entering to perform the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.

“The Saudi authorities have completed the procedures to migrate 578 Egyptian citizens from its territory,” said Mohamed Abdel Hakkam, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, Egyptians abroad, the Immigration and Refugee.

The Egyptian Consulate General in Jeddah has also terminated travel procedures for the pilgrims who made the journey for Hajj and Umrah.

Abdel Hakkam went on to appeal for Egyptian pilgrims to respect Saudi Arabia’s laws concerning their presence in the Kingdom
