After leading the team to the top position in the Egyptian Premier League and securing a place in the CAF Champions League group stage, Ahly's Dutch coach Martin Jol revealed that he would not leave the team at the end of the ongoing season.
"I'm not thinking of leaving Ahly at the end of the ongoing season no matter what kind of money is offered to me to return to training in Europe," Jol said after Sunday's training session.
"I feel relieved to be working here with Ahly's management who are dealing in a professional way."
"I enjoy staying with Ahly, especially because I feel like I am one of the team's fans," Jol added.
"I don't discuss any offers from any team…and I am happy with my stay in Egypt working for the biggest team in Africa," Jol said.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham player was appointed last winter as the new boss of Ahly, Egypt's most popular team, for a year-and-a-half.
He replaced Portuguese tactician Jose Peseiro, who left the club in an abrupt manner to take over at Porto in Portugal in January.
Ahly, who are leading the Egyptian Premier League table with 62 points, eight points ahead of rivals and second place Zamalek, are scheduled to face El-Entag El-Harby on the 29th match day on Tuesday.
"The El-Entag El-Harby meeting is one of the most important games as the opponents are competing for a top four place and they have talented and experienced players," the Dutch coach concluded.
