Al-Koni's new novel sheds a whole new light on the desert, once again Libya, but this time loaded with history that lies between myth and reality. The book is dedicated to the martyrs of the February 17 revolution who are, "Heroes who never saw the nation a valuable trophy, so they shed rivers of blood to bring value to it."

The book has two introductions, one by Seif Al-Marri, chief editor of Dubai Cultural Magazine, and the second by Nawwaf Younis, the managing editor.
