The film Wall of Heroism will screen on the occasion of 6th of October celebrations
Haet El-Botolat (Wall of Heroism, 1998) will screen for the first time on Egyptian state television on the occasion of 6th of October celebrations.
The star-studded film features Mahmoud Yassin, Farouk El-Fishawy, Ahmed Bedeir, Khaled El-Nabawy, Hanan Tork, Mostafa Shaaban, Nada Bassioúny and Samira Mohsen.
The film was reportedly banned during ousted president Hosni Mubarak's reign for not focusing on the first airstrike against Israel in the 1973 war which was led by him as head of the air forces.
More than 15 years after its production, the film premiered in Egypt in 2014 at the 14th Cairo International Film festival.
The war-pic , which was directed by late Mohamed Rady, the war-pic is about the lead-up and the events of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war, portraying life in the army and air force during missions of heroism.
The film also looks at the 1970 Bahr El-Bakar massacre where an Israeli war raid left 30 Egyptian elementary school children dead.
