Panorama will suspend screenings on 11 November, shifting the programme back by one day
In a recent press release, the management of the ongoing 9th Panorama of the European Film announced that no screenings will take place on 11 November.
All screenings that were scheduled to take place on 11 November will be shifted to 12 November.
Consequently, all the screenings that were set to take place on 12 November will be shifted to 13 November.
This means that the Panorama will now end on 13 November, one day after the originally scheduled closing day.
The organisers motive for the decision, according to the statement, was based on the concern of some audience members.
"As a team, we do not think that the 11th [November] will be problematic but some audience concerns were raised, which led us to believe that we may not have high attendance at the cinema that day."
In recent weeks, an anonymous call has been circulating on social media for demonstrations on 11 November to protest the government's economic policies.
