Stoke City coach 'excited' by Ramadan Sobhi's progress
Ahram Online, , Monday 6 Mar 2017

Stoke City coach Mark Hughes has hailed the progress of Egyptian winger Ramdan Sobhi, but said he wants to ease pressure on him ahead of the upcoming games.

Sobhi produced a scintillating display against Middlesbrough last Saturday earning the praise of the coach, media and fans.

"We can't get too ahead of ourselves with Ramadan - he is a young guy. We have progressed him at the right rate and will continue to do so," Hughes said on Monday during a press conference.

Although he warmed the bench for almost half of the season, the flamboyant 20-year-old winger has since become a regular starter with a major impact for Stoke City over the past three games.

"In fairness to Ramadan Sobhi he is making an impact and is in the team on merit. He is very level-headed, but we are excited by him," he concluded.

Sobhi is expected to start against Manchester City on Wednesday.
