The winning design will set the tone for the upcoming edition's visual identity

The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has announced an open call for poster designs for its 39th edition, which will run between 21 and 30 November.

The festival’s high consulting committee will select the winning design, which will become the official poster.

The deadline for submission is 22 June, and submissions can be sent to [email protected]

The first edition of the annual festival took place in 1976, founded by Kamal El-Malakh, head of the Egyptian Cinema Critics Association.

Two of the most recent iconic poster designs include that for the 36th edition, which featured Egyptian actress Nadia Lotfy, and the 37th edition, featuring actress Faten Hamama.
