Egyptian authorities will open the Rafah border crossing into the Gaza Strip for three days starting on Wednesday, Egypt's state-run MENA news agency reported.
The Rafah crossing will be open in both directions to allow Palestinians to travel in and out of Gaza.
The north-Sinai border crossing is the major gateway to the outside world for 1.8 million Palestinians living in Israeli-besieged Gaza, as it is the only terminal not controlled by Israel.
Egypt has largely kept the border closed in recent years due to security concerns following the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
Gaza, a small, impoverished coastal enclave, has been under Israeli blockade since 2006.
Egypt last reopened Rafah in both directions briefly in December.
Palestinian rivals Hamas and Fatah agreed to hand over responsibility for the Rafah crossing to a unity government as part of an Egyptian-brokered reconciliation deal in October 2017.
