Lionel Messi scored two goals as Barcelona beat Brazilian side Santos 4-0 to win its second Club World Cup title in three years on Sunday
Messi, Xavi and Cesc Fabregas scored first-half goals as the European champion won its 13th trophy under coach Pep Guardiola.
Messi completed the scoring in the 82nd minute when he took a pass from Dani Alves, maneuvered around Santos goalkeeper Rafael Cabral and calmly slotted home to equal the biggest winning margin in the Club World Cup final.
Al-Sadd of Qatar beat Kashiwa Reysol of Japan 5-3 in a penalty shootout to take third place.
