Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Uzbekistan on Tuesday from China, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported, in the first official visit by an Egyptian president to the central Asian country, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported.

El-Sisi is expected to hold talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and a number of Uzbek officials in the capital Tashkent, with the aim of boosting bilateral relations.

El-Sisi and Mirziyoyev will attend the signing ceremonies for a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries.
