Art Alert: Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to perform with Egyptian musicians

American drummer Chad Smith of the famous Red Hot Chilli Peppers band will host a special concert featuring well-known Egyptian musicians on 13 March at the Sawy Culturewheel, River Hall.
Smith will introduce a solo drumming segment featuring Egyptian drummer Ahmad Hesham, and tabla duo Donia Sami and Rania Amr before the main segment begins.
Smith will be accompanied by prominent bassist Samer George, famed keyboardist Faisal Fouad, percussionist Ahmed Aly and accordionist Beshoo Shenoda.
The drummer's American rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers will be performing in Egypt for the first time in a concert at the Giza pyramids on 15 March.
