Amcham: Egypt at limelight of American firms seeking to invest in ME

Myron Brilliant, the executive vice president and head of International Affairs at the US Chamber of Commerce, said Egypt is at the limelight of American companies seeking to promote their business in the Middle East region, especially in view of the positive outcome of the economic reform program.

He made the remarks during a meeting on Tuesday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr and Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar attended the meeting.

Brilliant said there are several domains for promoting cooperation in the coming period, especially in the energy and health domains.

Meanwhile, Madbouly hailed the chamber's enthusiasm about promoting economic and trade cooperation with Egypt.

The prime minister reviewed the giant infrastructure projects accomplished by Egypt over the past five years.

Brilliant's visit to Egypt falls within the framework of the chamber's interest in enhancing economic and trade cooperation, cabinet spokesman Nader Saad said.
