ClinGroup held a press conference earlier this week at the headquarters of the French Chamber of Commerce in Cairo to announce the launching of its branch in Cairo as well as a partnership initiative with the union of NGOs, Cure Bank, Qualification Development Bank and the Egyptian Liver Centre.

ClinGroup is an NGO that works in many countries with civil society associations to implement sustainable joint social health programmes.

The press conference was attended by many prominent figures from the public, private and social health sectors, medical and pharmaceutical colleges and the health and research sectors.

The conference started with an opening speech by Nadia Cheaib, chairwoman of ClinGroup, who thanked the attendees and announced the start of the company's activity in Egypt.

Ayman Fath El-Bab, the CEO of Egyptian Cure Bank, talked about the importance of the partnership and cooperation between authorities and associations to provide proper treatment to needy patients, and that this is the basis upon which the partnership with ClinGroup is formed.

On behalf of the chairman of the Egyptian Liver Hospital Gamal Shiba, Ayman Abdel-Fattah Hassan, deputy chairman of the Egyptian Liver Hospital, delivered a speech where he spoke about the hospital’s contributions to raising awareness and reducing the spread of liver disease with the ‘100 villages free of viruses’ project.

Talaat Abdel-Qawi, president of the union of NGOs, said that 30 percent of the contributions were made by the private sector and NGOs.

He mentioned that Egypt’s 2014 constitution enshrined state’s support for the private sector regarding the social responsibility. He also stressed that the objectives of NGOs in Egypt were strongly in line with ClinGroup’s vision.

ClinGroup was founded in France in 2002 and it has been working in the field of developing scientific research and health sector in the Middle East and Africa, especially in medical research and diagnosis and treatment, the development of the quality of infrastructure for health institutions and facilities, and preparation of leaderships and competencies in the health sector.
