Algeria winger Adam Ounas joined Nice from Italy's Napoli on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy, the French Ligue 1 side announced on Friday.

"OGC Nice is delighted to announce it has secured a loan deal for Adam Ounas. After undergoing his medical on Thursday, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder completed his loan move, with option to buy from SS Napoli," read a statement on Nice's official website.

Ounas caught the eyes with some superb displays in Algeria's triumphant campaign at the June-July Africa Cup of Nations, despite mainly making substitute appearances.

He scored three goals in as many games to help Algeria win the tournament for a second time.

The former Bordeaux forward will join up with fellow countryman Youcef Atal, who moved to Nice from Belgium's KV Kortrijk in July 2018.

"Like Youcef Atal, he was crowned champion of Africa in July with Algeria. He is capable of making the difference on the pitch," the statement added.
