Egypt has been ranked 102 out of 152 countries in the 2019 edition of a business-to-consumer E-commerce index that measures an economy's preparedness to support online shopping, moving up 11 places on the list compared to last year's ranking, the Egyptian cabinet's Information and Decision Support Centre announced on Wednesday.

The index measures the readiness of countries around the world to benefit from online shopping through four sub-indicators.

The index has been topped by the Netherlands for the second consecutive year, while Switzerland, Singapore, Finland, and the United Kingdom came in second, third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
