Egypt's foreign minister discusses Libyan developments with Greek, Italian counterparts

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed the latest developments in Libya with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias in Cairo on Sunday, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.



The two ministers exchanged views and evaluations of the developments, and Shoukry asserted the importance of reaching a fair resettlement to restore security and stability, and of coordinating international efforts and preparations for the upcoming Berlin conference.



Dendias arrived Cairo on Sunday after a short trip to Libya, where he visited Benghazi and met with representatives of General Khalifa Haftar.



Also on Sunday, Shoukry discussed Libyan developments by phone with his Italian counterpart, Luigi Di Maio, according to the Egyptian foreign ministry.



The two agreed on the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the Mediterranean area.
