The updated version focuses on partnership mechanisms with the private sector, civil society, and international and domestic partners

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said has announced that an updated version of the national sustainable development agenda (Egypt’s Vision 2030) is nearly complete and will be revealed soon.

El-Said’s statements came during a meeting held on Tuesday with Minister of International Cooperation Rania El-Mashat.

El-Said explained that the updated version focuses on partnerships, asserting that the planning ministry is working on pushing partnership mechanisms with the private sector, civil society, and international and domestic partners to boost development financing and diversifying funding resources and developmental programmes.

She also pointed out the success of Egypt’s economic reform programme, adding that it is time to catalyse the private sector in line with the sectorial reforms that the government has been implementing and the significant investments in infrastructure, in addition to the legislative reforms that have been undertaken to incentivise domestic and foreign investments.
