Tens of artists and athletes appeared in Gamal's new song that trended within hours of its release
Egyptian pop singer and composer Ramy Gamal is topping the trend in Egypt with his latest song Saaf (Clap) in which he promotes the adoption of positive energy. The video clip features many actors, athletes and celebrities.
"I have so much to tell all the people who turned the energy that made me upset into joy," Gamal said.
In November,Gamal received solidarity by many Arab celebrities and artistsafter he voiced his insecurity about his diagnosed vitiligo, a non-contagious, immunologic long-term disease that causes white patches on the skin.
Gamal touched the hearts of hundreds of thousands of listeners who shared Saaf hours after its release on various platforms.
Among the tens of celebrities who appeared in Saaf are actors Ahmed El-Sakka, Hisham Maged, Karim Abdel-Aziz, Amr Saad, Mai Omar, Akram Hosni and Esaad Younis in addition to singers Hisham Abbas and Hamada Helal, marimba musician Nesma Abdel-Aziz and athletes Karam Gabr (wrestling legend), Shikabala, Amr Solaya, Tarek Hamed, Ramadan Sobhy, Hosni Abd Rabouh and many others.
Saaf was written by Mostafa Hassa, composed by Belal Sorour and arranged by Toma.
Gamal has finished his new albumwith production company Nogoum Records. He composes and sings with various top-notch pop lyricists and producers.
Gamal is the first Arab celebrity to announce his disease. Many Western stars, such as Michael Jackson, were open about theirvitiligo.
Gamal, who has released more than five pop albums, is also widely known as a composer, having collaborated with stars in the Arab region including Mohamed Hamaki, Mohamed Fouad, Tamer Ashour, Sherine Abdel-Wahab, Angham, Mohamed Nour, Mosafa Amar, and Nawal El-Zoghby.
