Heads of Egypt's press and media organisations to be sworn before parliament Sunday
The heads of the organisations were named by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi 24 June
Egypt parliament's secretary general Mahmoud Fawzi announced Thursday that the newly-appointed heads of the country's press and media organisations will be sworn before parliament Sunday.
Fawzi said the heads, who were named by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi 24 June, should take the constitutional oath before parliament in line with laws regulating the performance of the press and media organisations and before they exercise their duties.
The list of heads who will be sworn before parliament Sunday include:
Karam Gabr, head of the Higher Council for Media Regulation;
Abdel-Sadeq El-Shorbagi, head of the Higher Press Organisation;
Hussein Zein, head of the Higher Media Organisation.
