One of the first event held by the Cairo Opera after reopening of cultural activities, the concert will feature violin soloist Laura Virtanen-Amin


The Cairo Symphony Orchestra returns to activities after four month suspension due to the general cultural shutdown, with a concert conducted by Hisham Gabr.

The concert dubbed 'Romantic Affairs' will take place on Saturday 11 July showcasing works by the Romantic era composers.

The evening will open withEdvard Grieg's Peer Gynt, Suite No. 1, Op. 46 followed byBeethoven's Romance in F major, Op.50 for Violin and Orchestra featuringviolin soloist Laura Virtanen-Amin.

In the second half of the evening, the orchestra will performGeorge Bizet's L'Arlésienne Suite No. 1 & Suite No. 2.

The concert will take place at the open-air stage erected in the fountain area at the Cairo Opera grounds.
