Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel laureate and professor of economics at Columbia University, will deliver a lecture at the American University in Cairo (AUC), according to an AUC press release.
The former senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank will deliver his lecture, titled "Creating a Learning Society: An Agenda for Dynamic Societies in Uncertain Times," today at 6:30 pm, at the university's old downtown campus, in Oriental Hall.
A guest of the Access to Knowledge for Development Center (A2K4D) of the School of Business, Stiglitz was awarded the Nobel Prize in economics in 2001 for his analysis of markets with asymmetric information.
