The big spending Egyptian club Pyramids FC is looking for their first ever continental title

Rising Egyptian power Pyramids FC will be looking to get a step closer to their dream of a first ever continental title when they take on Guinea’s Horaya AC on Tuesday in the semifinal of the Confederation Cup.

In their first continental participation, Pyramids FC have made a great run, reaching the semifinal, and are among the top favourites for the title. The second-tier African club competition will be played in Morocco on a final four mini-tournament after being delayed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The semis will be played on just a single-match format on 19 and 20 October and the final will be played on 29 October.

Football activities had been suspended in the African continent due to the spread of the coronavirus, and the CAF decided to resume the Confederation Cup in Morocco.

The recently established team will enter the game at full power as their key player Abdallah El-Said is expected to start the game after recovering from an injury he had suffered during the premier league clash against Ahly.

Also, coach Ante Cacic will welcome back Ivorian defender Wilfred Kanon and Burkinabe attacker Eric Traore after being away on international duty.

The medical staff has also assured of the readiness of all the players, adding that all their PCR test results came back negative.

The big spending club is third placed on the Egyptian Premier League standings and was eliminated from the Egypt Cup last week in a game against Talae El-Gaish.
