After winning the three major trophies this season, Ahly's Tunisian left-back Ali Maaloul vowed that he and his teammates are doing their best to win all the five trophies of the year, as the team gears up for the African Super Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup.

Ahly won the Egyptian Premier League and the CAF Champions League titles before capturing the Egypt's Cup trophy after defeating a plucky Talae El-Geish 3-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

The Egyptian Cup win meant a record-extending 37th Egypt Cup title for the Red Devils and their first treble in 13 years.

The Cairo giants can still add two more titles to their trophy-laden cabinet this year when they face Talae El-Geish again in the Egyptian Super Cup and Morocco's RS Berkane in the African Super Cup later this month.

"Ahly players are still able to achieve more trophies as they are doing their best to claim all the five titles this season by winning the African Super Cup and Egyptian Super Cup," Maaloul was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"Winning the historical treble (Egyptian Premier League, CAF Champions League and Egypt's Cup) came as a result of a big effort by the team and it will give a great motivation while preparing for the new season," the 30-year-old Tunisian international, added.

Ahly's hat-trick of titles brought back the glory days of iconic Portuguese coach Manuel Jose, who masterminded the team's only other treble in the 2006/2007 season.
